115 Days: The Plan So Far

Johannesburg Airport

We have successfully organised getting to South Africa and arriving in Johannesburg on Tuesday the 8th of June. Even though the first game Uruguay plays is in Cape Town we were only able to get tickets to fly into Joberg and luckily at realistic prices.

Nissan Tiida

Then we pick up our hire car for the trip, a Nissan Tiida 4 door manual, a/c, gps and hopefully as the above picture shows in Sky Blue with actress in hand.

Green Point Stadium

We then head of immediately for our 1405 km drive to Cape Town. Our first game is on Friday the 11th of June at Green Point Stadium at 20:30 Uruguay vs France.

Our Tent

Andres has managed to secure some accommodation in Cape Town on a property where we will be able to hitch our tents and enjoy Cape Town for a few days.

Loftus Versfield Stadium

Then we are off to see South Africa vs Uruguay on Wednesday the 16th of June at Loftus Versfield Stadium at 20:30 which is a 1465 km drive from Cape Town to Pretoria.

Royal Bafokeng Stadium

We are then off to see Ghana vs Australia on Saturday the 19th of June at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium at 16:00, which is a 114 km drive from Pretoria to Rustenburg. Staying in Rustenburg we then watch Mexico vs Uruguay at the same stadium on Tuesday the 22nd Of June at 16:00.

Mbombela Stadium

We then travel 464 km from Rustenburg to Nelspruit to watch Australia vs Serbia on Wednesday the 23rd of June at 20:30 at the Mbombela Stadium which will hopefully be built by the time we get there 🙂

We then have to wait to see if Uruguay get’s through the stage group to see what our next game is. If Uruguay comes first in Group A, we then go to Port Elizabeth which is a 1347 km drive. If Uruguay comes second in Group A then we travel 347 km to Johannesburg.
