Is Uruguay the Most Dramatic Team in World Futbol ?
The answer to that question could be answered if only the Uruguayans could focus on the futbol and not on the dancing Carnival girls. Even as I contemplate the question I have already lost focus and all my attention is on the carnival.
However I have managed to include some highlights from the game that was played in what started an emptish stadium of El Estadio Centenario to what ended up being an 90% full stadium thanks to the 2 for 1 entry price and the flood gates being opened at half time for all to cheer the squad on. Something for free is hard to find in Uruguay and it wasn’t long before they all showed up for the game.
I understand the fans, would you want to pay full price to see a team coming 7th or 8th in the qualifiers?????????
Anyhow below are some highlights, enjoy and hang on for the ride:
Now we await the next two rounds which will define the top 4 automatic qualifiers to the World Cup and the magic 5th play off spot. Let the bribery and corruption begin in true South American style. Who will be able to out bid who, who will throw the games, who will try and throw the game but still win cause the opposition is soo bad.
